Today was Eliza's 3rd "official" day of preschool. She's going 2 half-days a week. Her orientation days went really well as we transitioned slowly to leaving her. But now that she knows she will be without us for a few hours, she is less than happy about us going. Today, we talked a lot about her day - what she would do, when we'd be back, and we gave her some special treats to get her through the day. As I started to leave, her lip started to quiver and the tears ran down her face. She tried hard today to buck up which somehow made me feel even worse. Then 3 seconds later, I peaked around the corner and she was on the tricycle cruising around the yard. At pick-up, after running to me with a BIG smile, the first thing she said was "I had fun at my school today." We're all adjusting.
