PINK! Pink! Pink! We've been working on our colors and this is the only one we can be sure Eliza knows. And trust me, I had nothing to do with it. I really don't know how this happened but I am not going to be too resistant to the "all things pink & sparkly princess thing" -- mostly, because I am certain it will result in some kind of karmic backlash. However, some balance would be nice -- warrior princess, maybe?
This weekend E insisted on getting this. She didn't.
She did however get these.
If you have a second check out Peggy Orenstein's blog post. I do think the contradictions will always be there so it's all how we frame it for our children. And on a side note, I am very proud that when I had the opportunity to hire some extremely talented people to work with, I chose the woman who was in charge of those memorable Nike ads. We make a difference where we can.
