"When I grow up...

...I want to be a chef."

J made this breakfast with just a tiny bit of help.

A red eggs and ginger party is a traditional Chinese custom celebrating a baby's 30th day of life. The Chinese call it "Moon-yut" (Mun-yut) -- and the "moon" theme has taken over our lives since our son was born. The red eggs are symbols of life changes and their round shape symbolizes harmony and happiness. Ginger represents the desire to establish balance in the yin (cold) and yang (warm). Somewhere, halfway across the world, a tiger baby has been born and we can not wait to be fashionably late to the party. ADDENDUM: I originally created the blog so our friends and family could follow our journey to China to FINALLY meet our daughter. If you look at the older posts you can see the time B.E. (before Eliza) & on our trip. Now it has morphed into a place to record the life of our family of 4.
